Dressage Judge Leif Törnblad Suspended After Interview

Recently Danish five-star dressage judge Leif Törnblad had given a detailed interview to the Australian Horse Magazine, in which he discussed the training methods of Sjef Janssen and the Dutch team (for the interview klick here). Now the attorneys Schelstraete and Warzyniak from Schelstraete Equine Lawyers filed a complaint with thei FEI against Törnblad, which resulted in a temporary suspension.
The FEI follows the argumentation of the complaint, which states that Törnblad violated article 2 of the codex for FEI dressage judges. The article states that a judge has to avoid conflict of interest and has to be neutral and treat riders, owners, organisations and other officials in a fair manner.
