Today, Ingrid Klimke announced a sad decision: her horse Dresden Mann will not be competed any more. Alfi, so the 11-year-old Westphalian gelding is called, will not return to the arena for health reasons. “During his training we learned much from him and he faced us with various challenges,” Ingrid Klimke states on her facebook page. Now Dresden Mann will have a longer break in the pastures and then they will search for a new task for the horse. The pair had its last competition, the Grand Prix Freestyle, in July in Hagen – the pair achieved a result over 77 percent. Ingrid Klimke hoped next to their nomination for the eventing squad also to be part of the dressage team at the Olymmpic Games in Rio.
