The Selection Committee Show Jumping of the Australian Equestrian Federation has announced the pairs that are eligible for competing at the Olympic Games in Rio. However, two riders have already been chosen for the team: team captain Edwina Tops-Alexander as well as Scott Keach. Keach already competed at the Olympic Games in Seoul 28 years ago, his only Olympic Games so far. Then he was 23 years old and eventer, he was placed fifth with the team. Four years ago the now 51-year-old has switched disciplines, now he will take his place in the jumping field. Keach part of the team when they won second place behind Japan at the qualification in Germany.
Next to Tops-Alexander and Keach the following pairs could become part of the team:

Steven Hill – Yalambi’s Bellini Star
Jamie Kermond – Yandoo Oaks Constellation
Phillip Lever – Comme Il Faut
James Paterson-Robinson – Amarillo
Matthew Williams – Valinski S
The Selection Committee will assess their performances at the events in Linz (AUT), Odense (DEN) and Sopot(POL) and then make a decision.
