It was not clear what the consequences of the five-star event in St. Moritz in August would have for Holsteiner stallion Colore when he left the arena on three legs during the main competition on Saturday. The diagnosis was a tendon injury. Now, so the Schweizer Pferdewoche reported it has become clear that the 14-year-old horse will not come back to the sport. The risk of a new injury simply was too big so owner Paul Bücheler said. Therefore the stallion will now start his breeding career. In 2012 Hansi Dreher took over Colore’s ride from Swiss Beat Mändli. The pair successfully completed many show jumping competitions.
