Christian Ahlmann’s Cöster Has Died

Christian Ahlmann’s stable in Marl is mourning Cöster, Ahlmann’s former top horse. The rider told the ReiterRevue that the grey horse has died. It’s possible that the 23-year-old Holsteiner has died during a thunderstorm.
With Cöster Ahlmann became internationally succesful. In 2003 they were double European Champions, in 2005 they were team champions. They won bronze at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens and team bronze at the 2006 WEG. In the course of his career, Cöster earned about 1,5 million € prize money. He was without a doubt one of the most successful German championship horses.
