Last year in Oldenburg, the boss Isabell Werth rode the horse: Weihegold OLD was supposed to get fine-tuned by the experienced Grand Prix rider. Now assistant instructor Beatrice Buchwald presented the 10-year-old Don Schufro daughter in the Grand Prix and won with 74,720 percent. However, Buchwald was not completely satisfied with the result: “We still have to improve the trot. But It’s always like this, the things one worries about work out well and what usually is unproblematic goes wrong.” Last year the focus was the Lousidor prize, which Buchwald won with the mare after having already won the finals of the Nürnberg Burg-Pokal in Frankfurt the year before. This year they are to attend the finals of the Meggle Champions – she still has to qualify for it in the Special in Oldenburg.
Second place in the Grand Prix went to Charlott-Maria Schürmann with Hanoverian Burlington (73,0 percent), who already were winners of the Burg-Pokal. Third place went to Carola Koppelmann and Deveraux B (71,040 percent).
