British Olympic Horse Lancet Has Died

Lance, former Olympic horse of Emma Hindle has passed away at age 24. For many years, the Hanoverian stallion by Wenzel/Shogun was once of the most successful horses in British teams. In 2008 he and Emma Hindle were part of the Olympic team in Hong Kong; they finished in seventh place in the individual rating. In 2009 at the EC in Windsor they won team silver. In 2005, 2007 and 2009 they were part of the team at the EC and in 2006 at the WEG. Before that Lancet had already been a part of team – namely the Dutch team at theĀ  Olympic Games in Athens in 2004, under Imke Schellekens-Bartels (NED). Then the horse went to the UK. Hindle told Horse&Hound: “Lance was the horse that made all my dreams come true.”
