British Equestrian UK Sport Gets Less Money for Tokyo

The British Equestrian Federation has to do with £2million less for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo compared to this year’s Olympic Games in Rio. This year the budget was just under £18 million, the budget for Tokyo is only £ 15,361,769. The medal targets for the British riders were hit with two individual medals from Nick Skelton and Charlotte Dujardin and team silver – the target was two to four medals. Clare Salmon, chief executive of the British Equestrian Federation believes that the UK’s Sport had enough faith in the World Class Programmes.
