British Nicola Wilson, one of the great hopes for the British in Tryon will not be able to compete there. Her top horse Bulana, with whom she won individual bronze as well as team gold at the EC last year has a slight injury and will not be well in time for the World Equestrian Games.
Wilson herself had sustained an injury to her knee in the spring but came back with Bulana in Luhmühlen, where the mare was a bit strong. They won the CIC3* in Barbury in July. The pair was also supposed to be present in Aachen but had withdrawn before the competition.
The successor on the long list is Alex Bragg with Zagreb.
