Bettina Hoy & Designer

Bettina Hoy: “It’s really cool!”

Bettina Hoy is the measure of all things in Luhmühlen –  she does not only ilead the CIC*** but also the CCI**** after the cross country. She and Designer finished the course with their result from the dressage part — 36,0 penalty points. Directly behind Hoy follows Julia Krajewski with Samourai du Thot (37,1 points) and British Nicola Wilson with Bulana (38,7). Bettina Hoy was the last rider to start the cross country course and had a small rumble but then everything went well. “Hasi was fantastic,” the German rider said. “I can’t believe it. After about 7 minutes my watch stopped working but I knew that he is a very fast horse and that I can rely on him. It is cool and a great feeling to be leading in both competitions.”
Julia Krajewski was also satisfied to be in rank two: “Sam was in a good mood today. He is very fit. The course was great to ride, motivating for the horse and it was fun.”
New course designer Mike Etherington-Smith had done a good job and said: “It will take some years to get to know the new course and I already have ideas for next year. However, I am very happy that I saw so many nice rounds today; motivated horses and smiling riders.”
