Alexandra Barbancon Mestre’s Don Lorean Sold to Japan

Spanish dressage rider Alexandra Barbancon Mestre, sister of even more widely known Morgan Barbancon, has sold Don Lorean, so eurodressage.com reports. The 15-year-old gelding is now with Yuko Kitai, who hopes to attend next year’s Olympic Games in Rio with the horse. Japan qualified for the Olympic Games in September. In 2012, Kitai was Japanese champion, the horse she rode until recently was Grand Prix horse Golden Coin. With Barbancon, De Lorean was internationally successful at big events like Herning, Frankfurt, Neum√ľnster, Hagen, Perl, Hamburg, or Falsterbo. Yuko Kitai is trained by Thomas Wagner. The Japanese and her new horse are planning their debut at the Festhallen Reitturnier in Frankfurt in December.
